10.2.14 WISHKAH RIVER DISTILLERY

Last week, during my travels, I had the opportunity to meet Josh, master distiller and co-owner of Wishkah River Distillery. I typically do not drink spirits but was very intrigued by their Honey Vodka and am now a fan – very unique and flavorful vodka! Keep in mind, it is not honey flavored vodka, it is vodka derived from mead – a kind of beer made from honey. It was very cool to be able to converse with a true artisan. Thank you, Josh!10671463_656248654474143_7439397469014944967_n

I’m not a big spirits drinker, but I had fun tasting the different characteristics of each spirit.
I am still trying to convince Josh to also brew beer (since they’re already making it anyway!). IMG_1420IMG_1421
Thank you, Josh for welcoming me to your distillery and answering all of my questions about your operations. Also, thank you for letting me use the photos on my little photography blog. I love spreading the word about small businesses, especially those that support local farmers who practice sustainable agriculture.
