For my next article, the editor let me have a pick on what I wanted to write and take pictures of. I decided to write about Cantigny’s annual Greenhouse Open House. My writing and my photos were published in the May 16, 2007 in The Winfield Register (except for the one with the lady in it). This was when I discovered how much I love greenhouses and to this day, I still want one of my own…even if it’s just a small one. A girl can dream right? One of Gary and I’s publication collaboration. Gary graduated with an English major (concentration in writing), and although I studied Economics, I had always loved photography. I continued to pursue the different places and events photography took me. This time, photography took Gary and I to a sheep shearing event at Kline Creek Farm. The Winfield Register asked us to cover the event and although I know nothing about farming, herding, sheep, etc…I found it to not only be entertaining but educational as well. These pictures were taken on 4.14.07.
